Washington Wizards

After hiring a new head coach in Wes Unseld Jr., all the attention turned toward Bradley Beal. Would Beal want to undergo a coaching change in Washington? And does he believe the organization will do enough this offseason to field a contending roster?

Despite the trade of Russell Westbrook, multiple reports have shared that Beal is committed to the Wizards for the upcoming season. That doesn’t mean that Beal won’t have a change of heart before the season or during the season.

While Beal continues to have debatable confidence in Washington’s organization, the Wizards didn’t get any players from the Lakers that you can definitively say fit well with the All-Star shooting guard.

Kuzma is a 26-year-old forward that has yet to have a starting role in the NBA, Caldwell-Pope is a versatile wing that shouldn’t be relied upon to score consistently, and Harrell is an undersized big man that excels at rebounding and scoring inside the paint.

None of the players Washington acquired are considered stars and even though they freed up some cap space, who wants to join Beal on the Wizards in free agency? Even with Beal seemingly maintaining his loyalty to the franchise, the trade involving Westbrook doesn’t appear to be a move that convinces Beal to stay around much longer.
