Does this trade make sense for the Brooklyn Nets?
The Brooklyn Nets need to add some veteran depth to this roster. They did an excellent job in the 2021 NBA Draft adding cheap, cost-controlled talent with five overall selections. But, for a team looking to win now, they cannot rely on that many young players.
Spencer Dinwiddie would be an excellent piece for their bench, but they are unlikely to keep him. Working with him on a sign-and-trade is something that would work out for both sides and the Wizards make for a great trade partner.
Brooklyn would be set on the wing with Kyle Kuzma coming off the bench being able to play either forward spot. He has experience playing off of star players and should be able to find a niche with the Nets. Kuzma is also an improving playmaker and defender, giving Brooklyn another player that can get some stops, something they lacked last season.
Montrezl Harrell would provide some much-needed depth at the center spot. It was a weak point for the Nets in the postseason, as Jeff Green was logging a lot of minutes at the five spot with DeAndre Jordan clued to the bench.

Harrell’s energy, rim running and rebounding would fit in whether Steve Nash decided to bring him off the bench or inserted him in the starting five. He has struggled to stay in the rotation in recent postseason runs but makes for a good emergency player.
Brooklyn could lose a lot of their already limited depth this offseason. With the team looking to move Jordan, and possibly Joe Harris as well, adding two established players such as Kuzma and Harrell would make those losses a little easier to stomach.
