Miami Heat

There’s no hiding the fact that the Miami Heat are going to be an ultra-aggressive team this offseason. Following a rapid first-round exit given to them by the Milwaukee Bucks, the Heat understand that their roster needs some tweaking before they can make another run at the NBA Finals.

Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are the two cornerstones in Miami, but they need more firepower to get through the other teams in the Eastern Conference.

While Goran Dragic has worked well at times for the Heat, injuries have become a concern for him, and he hasn’t consistently shown he can be the guy Miami needs at point guard.

Kendrick Nunn showed spurts as a starter, but he’s an impending free agent and is likely to head elsewhere in the offseason. For months, the Heat have been considered a team that could pursue Lonzo Ball via trade.

Butler is a player that if he’s going to work alongside a younger player, that younger player has to show he’s fully committed to winning. Ball has taken a more serious approach to his game in recent years, making him someone that Butler would grow to trust once they got on the court together.

A trio of Ball, Butler, and Adebayo would be a good start in the Heat’s quest to put together a title contender this offseason.
