Depending on how you look at it, the New York Knicks had a successful or disappointing campaign this NBA season.
You can say that the Knicks had success by securing the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference in Tom Thibodeau’s first season as head coach despite having a middling roster.
On the other hand, you could say they disappointed by being handily eliminated in the first round by the Atlanta Hawks. Either way you look at it, the Knicks have some business to do in NBA free agency and the rest of the offseason.
Entering the offseason, the Knicks are expected to be one of the most active teams.
New York has plenty of their players from this season hitting free agency, but they are projected to have a boatload of cap space to use however they like.
While the New York Knicks could use a majority of their available cap space on bigger-name players, they’ll need to fill out the rest of their roster with bargain players that can be key contributors.
