The Miami Heat will have a lot of decisions to make this NBA offseason. The team has a ton of free agents, headlined by Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn entering restricted free agency.

Retaining both of them will prove to be difficult as the team is strapped for salary cap space. They could clear some space, if needed, by declining the 2021-22 options on Goran Dragic and Andre Iguodala, who are owed $19.4 million and $15 million respectively. The biggest moves Miami does in free agency will likely be retaining their players.

The best route for the Heat to upgrade the team will likely be through trades. But, without much draft compensation in the next three years, acquiring some of the big named players seems unlikely.

One player that the Heat could look to instead to help improve their roster is Kemba Walker. Walker was traded by the Boston Celtics to the Oklahoma City Thunder earlier this offseason, but a trade away from Oklahoma City was reportedly imminent.

The Heat could use Walker’s shot creation and playmaking to help improve their slightly below-average offense from the 2020-21 season. He would take pressure off of Jimmy Butler on that end of the court.

The price for Walker will be much easier for Miami to handle than for someone such as Damian Lillard. Here are three potential trade packages the Heat could offer Oklahoma City for Walker.
