It is finally NBA Draft day and tonight, we should expect nothing less than fireworks! There were a total of 17 trades made on draft night last year and there could be equal to or even more trades made this year.
This year’s draft class is definitely more “top-heavy” than usual, with several prospects having All-Star-like potential, but the rest of this year’s draft class is actually pretty deep.
Maybe they do not have the same potential as other draft classes, but there are plenty of guys through the first-round and into the early second-round who can be counted on to be productive from Day 1 in the league.
Earlier this week, we saw the Pelicans and Grizzlies make a deal involving first-round picks and key players like Jonas Valanciunas, Steven Adams and Eric Bledsoe and tonight, we could see some even bigger names on the move. Ben Simmons, Pascal Siakam, Bradley Beal, C.J. McCollum and Collin Sexton continue to be big names to monitor in trade talks and they could potentially be dealt.
