The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the busiest teams in the NBA when it comes to upgrading their roster. They are shopping players very aggressively as they look to make a deal during the 2021 NBA Draft.
Los Angeles owns the No. 22 pick in this year’s draft and at this point, it would be shocking if they held onto it.
Originally, the belief was that they would include it in a package with someone such as Kyle Kuzma or Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to add an established player to the roster.
The Lakers are in win-now mode and want someone that can help them win games instantly. Instead, there have been rumors that the team has been looking to move up in the draft, as the Indiana Pacers and Golden State Warriors, who are selecting 13th and 14th respectively, are the picks they have been attempting to acquire.

Surprisingly, the Lakers would want to add a rookie to this group, but there must be someone they are targeting. Who that player is, is anyone’s guess, as no one knows how the draft selections will shake out.
