1. Jonathan Kuminga
Jonathan Kuminga has been a consensus top-five pick for weeks now. There is a chance that he is jumped by Scottie Barnes but Kuminga will be one of the first players selected on Thursday night. After competing in the G-League last season, Kuminga showed a lot of good and some bad that could make teams second guess.
Kuminga is an incredible athlete. At 6-foot-8, he has a great frame and uses his size and strength to produce at all levels. With that being said, Kuiminga’s jump shot leaves a lot to be desired. He struggles from three-point range and the midrange game.
Kuminga can get to the basket and score in the lane but he will have to improve as a jump shooter. When a player is taken in the top five, they are expected to be a consistent producer from day one.
Kuminga could be a bit of a project with the possibility of turning into a star. If a team is comfortable with this project, they can make it work early on.

Kuminga will be selected early and will have high expectations heading into the league. His weaknesses are glaring and teams know what they will have to develop. It will be interesting to see how his rookie season plays out.
