F Marvin Bagley III – Sacramento Kings
Since being drafted 2nd overall in 2018, Marvin Bagley III has had a very rocky start to his career with the Sacramento Kings. In three seasons, he has averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and has shot 50% from the floor, proving that he can be a difference-maker for a team in the frontcourt, but his time with the Kings could be coming to an end.
Not only is Sacramento looking to add players who can help them win now, but Bagley is in the final year of his contract. Not to mention, the young forward seems to be unhappy with his current situation with the Kings given that he has been liking social media posts suggesting that he moves on from Sacramento.
If Marvin Bagley III wants out of Sacramento, the Kings would be smart to trade him for value now before he is worth nothing either at the trade deadline or next offseason. Trading him for a first-round pick in this year’s draft is definitely beneficial to Sacramento, but who knows if they can get this kind of value for him.
At the trade deadline, the Raptors, Spurs and Thunder had inquired about the availability of Marvin Bagley III, a source told NBA Analysis Network, but no trade talks ever materialized. These three teams could still be interested in potentially trading for Marvin Bagley III and the Thunder especially have the draft assets to be able to acquire him.

For any team currently rebuilding and looking to add young frontcourt help, trading for Bagley is a smart move because no risk is really presented by trading for him. The worst thing that happens is that he becomes a free agent after the 2021-22 season, resulting in whatever team he is on not being tied down to a long-term contract with him.
If they can get some immediate draft compensation for him, the Sacramento Kings will likely be willing to trade Marvin Bagley III, making him one of the better young players available for a low cost.
