New York Knicks

Seeing as they have a ton of cap space and endless options for what they can do this offseason, the Knicks are definitely going to be in the conversation as a team who could potentially look to add themselves onto this Pelicans-Grizzlies trade as an extension in order to acquire Eric Bledsoe.

The Knicks’ backcourt has been a mess and if it was not for Derrick Rose this past season, they would not have received any productivity from their guards! Finding a new point guard through the draft seems like a plausible option for the Knicks, but they could look to add Bledsoe to hold things down for the time being, especially since he is still a factor on both ends of the court.

Throughout his entire career, Eric Bledsoe has been a very underrated defender and in the Knicks system, one that puts defense over everything else, the veteran guard could actually have a resurgence of his career in Year 12. The Knicks are the perfect place for Bledsoe to potentially go to, especially since they have Randle and Barrett to take on most of the scoring load for now.

Having the No. 19 and No. 21 picks in the draft definitely gives the Knicks options in terms of trading for Bledsoe, especially since they would likely include Kevin Knox in any trade scenario for him. Knox is entering the final year of his rookie contract and is a player that New York would be fine moving on from. They also have the No. 32 pick in the second-round of the draft, which could act as a possible late first-round pick in terms of value seeing as there will be first-round rated talents that will fall to the Knicks with this pick.

Memphis could be interested in moving Bledsoe for the No. 32 pick and Kevin Knox just for the fact that they do not necessarily want to be tied down to him financially. Paying Knox and his $5.8M contract for a year is one thing, but taking on Bledsoe’s full $18.1M contract for the 2021-22 season is not too ideal for the Grizzlies, hence why they are interested in moving him.

The Knicks are definitely a destination for Eric Bledsoe that would make sense and they could look to pursue him for a cheap price. Memphis is going to be gauging trade interest in Bledsoe over the next week and it should not come as a surprise to see him end up in a Knicks jersey.
