Miami Heat
The Miami Heat are looking at a potentially huge void to fill at the point guard position this offseason. Long-time point guard Goran Dragic has an expensive $19.4 million team option the team may have to decline so they can make other roster moves. Kendrick Nunn, who has been his backup, is entering restricted free agency.
With so much uncertainty at the position, the Heat could look to the trade market to upgrade at the point guard spot. A sign-and-trade involving Nunn, who has been predicted by some outlets to end up in Indiana, could be a good place to start in trade negotiations.
Malcolm Brogdon is a perfect fit for the Heat Culture with how he plays. His presence would take a lot of pressure off of Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, who were often the sole offensive creators for Miami.
Brogdon’s 3-point shooting would also help open up the floor for Butler and Adebayo to work in the paint. This something the Heat sorely need to add into the mix.

Defensively, Brogdon and Butler would be an excellent pairing on the perimeter. They could take turns defending the opposing team’s best perimeter players. When you throw in the defensive versatility of Adebayo as well, the Heat starting five would give opponents fits.
