3 dark-horse landing spots for Kyle Lowry this offseason

Kyle Lowry, NBA Trade Rumors
NBA Analysis Network

Kyle Lowry was one of the biggest names “available” in trade talks at the NBA trade deadline this past season and while there were multiple deals in place between the Raptors and the 76ers, Heat and Lakers, no trade was ever made including the 6x All-Star point guard.

Now, after finishing the 2020-21 season in a Raptotes uniform, Kyle Lowry finds himself as an unrestricted free agent and one of the better players available on the open market. He is now 35-years-old, but Lowry can still be productive and play at a high-level on a championship contending caliber team.

Teams like the Heat, 76ers and Lakers may still look to pursue Kyle Lowry this offseason, but there are a handful of other teams who could look to pursue the All-Star point guard as well. Other potential landing spots have surfaced in recent rumors as the NBA Draft approaches, too.

There are a lot of point guards available in free agency this offseason with the likes of Mike Conley, Lonzo Ball, Dennis Schroder, Spencer Dinwiddie and others all being available, but Lowry finds himself above all of these guys in terms of talent.

Not only has he proved to be a championship-level point guard by helping Toronto win their first championship ever back in 2019, but Lowry has proven year-by-year that he is one of the more underrated two-way players in this league.

With this being said, let’s take a look at three dark-horse landing spots for Kyle Lowry this offseason.
