Kyle Lowry

Prediction: Doesn’t sign with the Lakers

Aside from Paul, another free agent that has reportedly drawn interest from the Lakers is Kyle Lowry. Back at the trade deadline this season, Los Angeles was attempting to conjure up a trade for Lowry.

But as the trade deadline passed, the Toronto Raptors decided to keep Lowry instead, causing the Lakers to try and find a solution in-house. This time around though, Los Angeles could make a pitch to Lowry for him to join forces with James and Davis.

There have been rumors that Lowry and DeMar DeRozan could both express interest in reuniting on the Lakers. For that to happen, at least one of them would need to take a MAJOR pay cut. Provided that, getting both Lowry and DeRozan seems nearly impossible.

Yes, Lowry would be perfect for the Lakers as he can shoot efficiently from outside and he’s a formidable defensive player. That being said, I don’t believe Los Angeles has the facilities to outbid other contenders in free agency.

At the same time, I wouldn’t be entirely shocked to see Kyle Lowry choose the Lakers in hopes to compete for a title next season.
