Evaluating best and worst trade destinations for Myles Turner

Heading into what should be an action-packed NBA offseason, it seems like a foregone conclusion that Myles Turner will no longer be a member of the Indiana Pacers. He has found himself mentioned in many trade rumors ahead of the 2021 NBA Draft.

Indiana’s front office has iterated that they believe Turner and Domantas Sabonis can coexist. But we’ve seen that they haven’t been exactly a picture-perfect fit together in recent years.

Given the fact that Sabonis has made back-to-back All-Star appearances, my guess is that the Pacers side with him if they’re deciding between the two.

Despite Turner’s probable exodus from Indiana, he’s the perfect modern-day big in which he can space the floor with his three-point shooting and protect the rim.

Throughout his career thus far, Turner has shot 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and he’s averaged 2.2 blocks per game (he’s led the league twice in blocks).

Given the constant need for a multi-faceted center like Turner around the NBA, these are some of the best and worst trade destinations for the formidable shot blocker.
