Best Fit: Minnesota Timberwolves
Once again, unless Ben Simmons drastically improves his shooting abilities, then he’d be most effective in a facilitating forward role. During his time with the 76ers, Simmons has operated as the point guard most of the time, giving him mismatches due to his size.
On the other hand though, it’s led Philadelphia to have a point guard that is unwilling to keep the defense honest with his outside shot. Another team that could allow Simmons to flourish in a Green-like role is the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Simmons is close friends with D’Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns, but Russell may need to be included in the trade if Minnesota wants Simmons.
Regardless of who is included, Simmons could create a formidable front court duo with Towns. The fact that Towns is one of the best three-point shooting bigs in NBA history allows Simmons to not be leaned on to make outside shots.

Amid his development as a shooter, Simmons would get a fresh start with the Timberwolves, forming a new trio with Towns and Anthony Edwards.
