What a disheartening end to the season it was for the Philadelphia 76ers this season. Everything was shaping up for Philadelphia to make a deep push in the NBA postseason.
The 76ers were the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and their trio of Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, and Joel Embiid were playing well entering the postseason.
However, following a five-game series over the Washington Wizards, Philadelphia would crumble against the Atlanta Hawks in the Conference Semi-Finals.
For the most part, Philadelphia’s issues stemmed from Simmons’ inability to look for his shot and score the basketball. With Simmons not looking to score — plus his woes at the free-throw line — the 76ers became overly predictable on the offensive end.
Seeing that the duo of Embiid and Simmons faltered once again, many are wondering if Simmons’ performance in the playoffs is enough for the front office to move on from him.
While a trade involving Ben Simmons has yet to be confirmed this offseason, let’s take a peek at a couple of the best and worst fits for the 24-year-old point forward.
