The Atlanta Hawks went on a spending spree last year during the NBA offseason. They brought aboard a ton of veterans, hoping to help their young team turn into winners. The strategy eventually paid off, as the Hawks were one of the bigger surprises during the 2020-21 season.

Atlanta took off once Nate McMillan took over as head coach. They finished the regular season 27-11 with him as head coach and winning two playoff series. They defeated the New York Knicks in the first round and Philadelphia 76ers in the second round before losing to the Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals.

One of the veterans that helped the Atlanta Hawks improve as much as they did was forward Danilo Gallinari, who signed a three-year, $61 million deal with Atlanta in free agency.

He stretched the floor well, knocking down 40.6 percent of his 3-point attempts. Now, there are rumors that he could be on the move this offseason. Which teams could use the veteran sharpshooter? Here are three teams who would pursue a trade for The Rooster.
