The Toronto Raptors were one of the biggest winners during the NBA Draft Lottery. The team went into the lottery in the seventh spot but moved up to No. 4 in the draft.
Now, Toronto has a lot of avenues they could explore this offseason. Masai Ujiri has not shown his hand, as the team can retool and quickly become competitors in the Eastern Conference again or tear things down and start rebuilding.
Veteran point guard Kyle Lowry was not traded away at the NBA trade deadline, which might mean the team is leaning toward reloading and going for it again this season.
The Raptors are not that far off from being contenders again, as Fred VanVleet, Pascal Siakam and OG Anunoby are a solid core to build around. Add in Gary Trent Jr. if he is re-signed and the team will be very competitive during the 2021-22 season.
