Does this trade make sense for the Toronto Raptors?

All it could take is one year for Masai Ujiri to decide to shake things up. Kyle Lowry is on his way out and the Toronto Raptors are coming off an underwhelming season. This is a chance to send a message to the franchise and find that replacement in the frontcourt.

The Raptors have valued Pascal Siakam so it would be interesting to see him be the one sent away. It would take a lot in a deal and understandably so. Toronto are just two years removed from a championship. This was with Kawhi Leonard in the lineup and they were unable to keep him in town.

Now, Fred VanVleet has taken over as the focal point of the team. He is technically a shooting guard and that is where he thrives. This is where the addition of Dejounte Murray could come into play. He would take over the ball-handling duties and allow VanVleet to continue to play off the ball.

The Raptors already hold the fourth-overall pick in the draft and will land one of the best prospects available. They would be able to get another with the No. 12 pick.
