San Antonio Spurs Receive: F/C Pascal Siakam
Toronto Raptors Receive: G Dejounte Murray, C Jakob Poeltl, G Lonnie Walker IV (team-option), No. 12 pick
Pascal Siakam, as we mentioned, would be the centerpiece of this NBA trade scenario going back to the San Antonio Spurs. They have always had a strong piece down low and Siakam would fit right in.
This is an area the Spurs need to improve, especially with promising young pieces like Keldon Johnson and Derrick White. However, White has found himself being dangled in trade rumors in talks around the NBA along with Dejoune Murray.
Murray would lead the return going back to the Raptors and would serve as an immediate replacement for Kyle Lowry, who is likely to depart in free agency. The defense-first mentality that Toronto adopts would be a perfect fit for Murray who makes his mark as an on-ball defender.
Jakob Poeltl and Lonnie Walker IV would also be going to Toronto, along with the 12th-overall pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. Poeltl was originally part of the trade that landed Kawhi Leonard with the Raptors but would be headed back to Toronto to provide depth after Aron Baynes has disappointed.
