Since rebranding from the Seattle SuperSonics to the Oklahoma City Thunder and relocating to Oklahoma City ahead of the 2008-09 season, the OKC Thunder have been one of the league;s top franchises. From the 2008-09 season to now, the Thunder have won a total of 604 games, which ranks them third in the NBA during this timespan.

Of course guys like Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Paul George, Chris Paul and others all played a big role in the Thunder’s success over the years, but now, this organization is looking to build a young, sustainable core once again like they did with Durant, Westbrook and Harden back in the day.

The Thunder are rebuilding, as they are coming off a season in which they went 22-50, their least amount of wins since winning just 20 games as the Seattle SuperSonics during the 2007-08 season.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Darius Bazley, Luguentz Dort, Aleksej Pokusevski, Theo Maledon and others make up a promising looking young core, but the Thunder will be looking to add onto said core with six draft picks in the 2021 NBA Draft.

GM Sam Presti knows what he is doing and is going to be very aggressive in trying to add the best young talents he can to this roster, which is why he could show interest in a former top-tier draft pick. Marvin Bagley III is entering the final year of his contract and seems to be unhappy with his current situation in Sacramento.

The former 2nd overall pick in 2018 has secretly liked comments and pictures of him not being in Sacramento on social media and his father has even gone out on social media and voiced his opinions about getting his son off the Kings!

Bagley seems like a player that is very available and the Thunder could definitely be interested in adding him to their frontcourt, especially since they no longer have Al Horford or Moses Brown.

The Sacramento Kings are looking to add guys this offseason that can help them win, which is why they could look to move Marvin Bagley III. Gaining assets in order to go after the players they want is advantageous to the Kings, so let’s take a look at what the Thunder could offer for the young forward.
