The Los Angeles Clippers have not accomplished their goal during the first two years of their new regime. That has to change moving forward. We could see some noise coming out of Los Angeles this NBA offseason if they want to shake things up a bit.

The Clippers brought Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to town in hopes of building the next great franchise. They have become one of the top teams in the league but have come up short in both years contending for a championship.

This season, the Clippers made a run to the Western Conference Finals, and they did so without Leonard. He suffered an injury that kept him out of the later part of the postseason. George took over as the No. 1 option within the offense and put up some big-time performances when his team needed it. It was not enough to get past the Phoenix Suns and that is now the standard.

The San Antonio Spurs are in a different boat moving forward. They are looking to get back to being a winner in the days after Tim Duncan and Tony Parker. This has been a tough transition that has kept San Antonio out of the postseason over the last couple years. They featured some veteran options this season.

LaMarcus Aldridge agreed to a buyout and DeMar DeRozan was able to play out his final year with the Spurs. He was thought to be a trade piece but the Spurs held onto him in hopes of making a late-season run.

Now that the season is over, teams can officially focus on offseason deals that have a chance to be made. Here is a potential NBA trade scenario centered around DeMar DeRozan involving the Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs this offseason.
