Miami Heat Receive: F Brandon Ingram, G Eric Bledsoe
New Orleans Pelicans Receive: F Duncan Robinson (sign-and-trade), G Goran Dragic (team option), F/C Precious Achiuwa, 2025 1st Round Pick, 2027 1st Round Pick
Brandon Ingram would be the third piece next to Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. This is a move that could potentially take the Miami Heat back to where they want to be and that is competing for a championship.
The price will not be cheap but Ingram is a blossoming star with plenty of team control. It’s not easy to find wings who can efficiently score at a high-volume and at given how he’s still a young player, there is real value to be had.
A sign-and-trade for Robinson makes a lot of sense since it would repurpose the Pelicans’ cap space in a comfortable way and would entice Miami to allow him to go elsewhere. Adding pure shooting must be a priority for New Orleans and this would bring precisely that.
If Robinson ends up signing for what his market rate is projected to be, the Heat could use left over cap space to just take on the difference from Ingram’s salary. He is set to earn $29.5 million, so there wouldn’t be a massive gap to have to fill in all likelihood. There is a pathway to make this a larger deal where New Orleans can salary dump Eric Bledsoe while taking back Goran Dragic.

The Pelicans would also get plenty of draft capital in return for Ingram. New Orleans would add a few more future first-round picks to their already robust collection. At some point, they will be able to get aggressive adding pieces around Zion Williamson using them.
Let’s take a closer look and see how this NBA trade scenario centered around Brandon Ingram would impact both the Miami Heat and New Orleans Pelicans.
