Denver Nuggets
Things went south for the Denver Nuggets when Jamal Murray went down with a season-ending knee injury late in the regular season.
Despite Murray’s absence, the Nuggets held strong and were able to defeat the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs. But it was a quick sweep in the second round of the playoffs by the Phoenix Suns that ended Denver’s title hopes this season.
With Murray unlikely to be ready for the start of the 2021-22 campaign, the Nuggets need guys to step up until he can return to the court.
Aaron Gordon was a decent addition for Denver this season at the trade deadline as he gave the team a versatile forward that could be a defensive weapon in certain matchups.

While keeping Gordon in a similar role, the Nuggets could add Blake Griffin to give them more depth in their frontcourt alongside Nikola Jokic.
Plus, with Griffin now becoming an efficient shooter from outside, he can be utilized in a variety of ways in Denver’s lineup.
