3. Jonathan Kuminga falls outside of the top six
Mock drafts have been making their rounds for months, with some prospects being popular names at the top of the draft. Cunningham has been the consensus No. 1 pick for quite some time, and Evan Mobley has been the second-most popular prospect.
Names like Jalen Green, Jalen Suggs, and Jonathan Kuminga have also been mocked inside the top five, but there’s a chance that not all of them are selected where they are being projected.
Of the bunch, Kuminga has the likeliest chance to fall outside the top six. During mock draft season, Kuminga has been penciled in to be a top-five pick in the 2021 NBA Draft after spending one year in the NBA G-League, alongside Green.
Kuminga is an intriguing wing player that has the tools to become a prominent starter in the NBA. However, Scottie Barnes, Davion Mitchell, Jalen Johnson, Keon Johnson, and even Moses Moody have gotten more buzz as the draft nears.
