The Phoenix Suns are just coming off a loss in the NBA Finals. They were able to run through the Western Conference but were defeated by the Milwaukee Bucks in six games. Moving forward, Phoenix is still looking to win a championship and can dive right into the offseason.
The addition of Chris Paul was one that was extremely beneficial to the Suns. He helped take Deandre Ayton to the next level and was that star at the top of the offense, along with Devin Booker.
The Suns finished with the second best record in the Western Conference and will have great expectations heading into next season. They showed great depth and togetherness during the postseason so there is not much that they need to do on the trading block.
The same cannot be said about the Dallas Mavericks. They were eliminated in the first round for the second year in a row by the Los Angeles Clippers. Kristaps Porzingis has been the biggest name featured in trade rumors because he could want out of town after a short tenure.
If this is the case, it would benefit them to get a disgruntled player out of town. Luka Doncic is one of the best players in the league and Dallas will be able to compete as long as he is around.
This is not a blockbuster deal that either team to be looking for but it is one that would potentially help both sides. Let’s take a look at what a deal that look like between the Suns and Mavericks in the offseason.
