Golden State Warriors
The Minnesota Timberwolves might be a little gun shy about making a deal with the Golden State Warriors again following the Andrew Wiggins/D’Angelo Russell deal last year. However, if Towns were to be made available, the Warriors could present an intriguing offer to the Timberwolves.
Golden State could give the Timberwolves their new building block in the middle with James Wiseman, who was selected immediately after Edwards in 2020. Minnesota would have a nice inside-out combination with Edwards and Wiseman on the roster.
The Warriors could also offer the Timberwolves their 2021 first-round pick, which ended up being No. 7 overall, back in a deal for Towns. In hindsight, that is not a deal Minnesota would do again, as another lottery pick would do this franchise some good.
For Golden State, this would give the team a major boost instantly. Towns is better suited to help the team in their quest for a title next season than Wiseman is.

The former Kentucky product will only be 26-years old this season as well, meaning he could lead the Warriors into life after their Big 3 of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
