Does this trade make sense for the Portland Trail Blazers?
The Portland Trail Blazers would be taking a huge loss if Damian Lillard wants out of town. This is a loss that takes some time to recover from but the huge return would make it a bit better. CJ McCollum has to be prepared to be the focal point of the team’s offense going forward.
Tyrese Haliburton is an intriguing piece of this deal. He would act as a replacement at the top of the offense and give the Trail Blazers a new, young option to rely on. Haliburton showed ability on both ends as a rookie and is a player to feel good about.
Hield would finally be moved as well and give Portland some prowess from beyond the arc. If the Blazers are going into a bit of a rebuild, draft picks are like gold and they would load up here.
The Trail Blazers have become a staple in the postseason but have been unable to advance. This means a change could be coming and Damian Lillard could be first on the list.
