Does this trade make sense for the New York Knicks?

Entering the offseason, the New York Knicks want to make a splash move, and what would be better than landing Bradley Beal via trade? It remains to be seen if Beal would be intrigued by the idea of playing in New York.

Maybe Beal would be open to joining the Knicks in hopes that he can convince other star players to sign there, creating a new superteam in the Eastern Conference.

While losing Barrett would sting for a little bit, New York would be adding one of the premier scorers in the entire league as he prepares to enter his prime.

In the event that the Knicks want to go all-in this offseason, this trade absolutely makes sense for them. They would be able to keep Immanuel Quickley and get rid of Toppin (who doesn’t have a clear role on the roster) and Robinson (who has been oft-injured) instead.

Following a move for Beal, New York would still have plenty of cap space to make moves to appease Beal and put together a winning roster.

Even though it would cost them a pretty penny, winning the Beal sweepstakes would be a massive step in the right direction for the Knicks.
