A lot of the focus this NBA offseason for the New York Knicks will be upgrading the point guard position. It has been pinpointed, and rightfully so, as the weakest link on the team.
There are plenty of options for the team to upgrade the point guard position, as Lonzo Ball, Kyle Lowry and Mike Conley Jr. would all be great fits in free agency. Collin Sexton and Damian Lillard have been reported trade targets and both would bring a lot to the Knicks as well.
But, one area that could become a need rather quickly is the center position. Nerlens Noel and Taj Gibson are both entering free agency this summer. Noel was a stalwart for the Knicks in the middle while Mitchell Robinson was injured and could land a multi-year deal worth at least $12 million annually. The veteran Gibson has had quiet markets the previous two offseasons but showed he can still get it done when called upon.
If the Knicks are unable to retain Noel, they could look to the trade market to fill the center spot. Indiana Pacers center Myles Turner would present an interesting trade target.

According to J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star, the Knicks are among the teams who have expressed interest in Turner. The Charlotte Hornets, Los Angeles Lakers, New Orleans Pelicans, LA Clippers and Minnesota Timberwolves are the other teams mentioned.
This could be the offseason that the Pacers break up their frontcourt duo of Domantas Sabonis and Turner, something that has been discussed for a while now.
Should he be put on the block, the Knicks should seriously look into acquiring him. Here are three reasons why Myles Turner is the perfect trade target for New York.
