The Phoenix Suns fell just short in their pursuit for an NBA Championship, as they lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in six games. The Suns were flying high after the first two games when they opened up a 2-0 series lead.

The Bucks built momentum in their two home games that they never surrendered, coming back from a big early deficit in Game 5, closing out the series with four straight wins.

Now, the Suns will head into the offseason, where they will look to do a little retooling. Adding a big man will be paramount as Dario Saric will likely be sidelined for all of the 2021-22 season after tearing his ACL in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. The Suns could also look different at the point guard position.

Cameron Payne, who has been a revelation for the team since they signed him for the Orlando Bubble. He was an integral part of the team’s rotation all of this season and stepped up big time when Chris Paul was hampered.

Paul himself will also be a free agent this offseason as he will likely decline his player option worth $44.2 million and look to secure a multi-year deal. A three-year deal is most likely, as anything over that would trigger the NBA’s over-38 rule, which was increased from the over-36 rule in the last CBA.

While all signs seemingly point to Chris Paul returning to Phoenix, there will certainly be other teams courting him in free agency. Here are three teams Paul should consider leaving the Suns for.
