Kawhi Leonard
If the Miami Heat are going to aim high this offseason, they might as well aim as high as possible. Kawhi Leonard, despite having to undergo a knee operation this summer, is the crown jewel of the 2021 free agency class.
Kawhi Leonard injured his knee in Game 4 of the LA Clippers’ second-round matchup with the Utah Jazz. It was being reported as a relatively minor injury, but he had to repair his partially torn ACL, putting his 2021-22 season in doubt.
This is the second significant injury in Leonard’s career, as he suffered a severe quad injury that kept him sidelined for all but nine games during the 2017-18 season. He bounced back in a major way from that injury, winning a title with the Toronto Raptors the next season and there is no reason he won’t be able to do it again.
While it would be a risk signing a player that is injured, Kawhi Leonard is well worth the risk. He is arguably the best two-way player in the NBA and would give the Heat a daunting Big 3 to play against when he returned.

Finding room to score against Jimmy Butler, Kawhi Leonard and Bam Adebayo would be difficult for even the best offensive teams.
