The Miami Heat are not a team that goes bargain bin shopping very often. If there is a way for them to add a star to their team that gets them closer to winning an NBA Championship, they are going to do everything they can to make it happen.

Pat Riley has been making big moves ever since he arrived in Miami. When the team won their first Larry O’Brien Trophy, it was the acquisition of Shaquille O’Neal to be paired with Dywane Wade.

A few years later, the Heat shocked the world when they landed LeBron James and Chris Bosh in free agency, creating a Big 3 in South Beach that won two more titles.

In 2019, the team did it again when they acquired Jimmy Butler in a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. They took advantage of a fractured 76ers locker room and brought in Butler, who helped get the team to the NBA Finals in the Orlando Bubble, where they were defeated by the Los Angeles Lakers.

This offseason, the Heat could have a chance to add another star-caliber player to the roster to help get them back into contention in the Eastern Conference. Butler and Bam Adebayo are a nice duo to start with, but they could use a third star to help compete with the teams in the upper echelon of the conference.

Who could the Miami Heat have their eyes on this offseason? Here are three star-caliber players Miami should target this offseason.
