The Portland Trail Blazers could have a busy offseason ahead of them. After being eliminated from the first round for the fourth time in five NBA seasons, head coach Terry Stotts and the organization decided to part ways.
Chauncey Billups was tabbed as the new head coach, which has caused some ripples in the organization, specifically with their star point guard, Damian Lillard. Mending that relationship with Lillard is a must for the Trail Blazers, otherwise, they are staring down the barrel of a rebuild.
If the franchise and Lillard can get back on the same page, they can go forward with building up the roster around him. Arguably the easiest and fastest way to accomplish that is by trading his backcourt mate, CJ McCollum.
McCollum has yet to make an All-Star game in his career, but he has cemented himself among the best scoring shooting guards in the NBA. He is a bonafide three-level scorer that averaged a career-high 23.1 points per game this season. His playmaking ability is also good, as he averaged a career-high 4.7 assists per game as well.

If the Blazers are going to move on from their starting shooting guard, plenty of teams would be interested in acquiring him. Here are three contenders who should pursue a trade for him this offseason.
