Does this trade make sense for the Sacramento Kings?
As we mentioned Marvin Bagley III, has been underwhelming. The former No. 2 overall pick of Sacramento, Bagley has never been able to get comfortable in the lineup and has been a bust to this point. It would behoove the Kings to send him away while they were still some value.
When looking at potential trade partners, Houston could line up because of what they would be able to send back. Wood is a forward that would pair well with De’Aaron Fox in the backcourt.
Wood can run the floor well and explode to the rim. He displayed an improvement on his jump shot and can rebound well on both ends of the floor.
Christian Wood is a two-way player that has been improving each year in the league. This could be the replacement down low and spark that the Kings have been looking for. This is the type of frontcourt talent needed alongside De’Aaron Fox.

This is not to say that this trade will get Sacramento back to the postseason right away, but it is one that will keep them trending in the right direction. If Fox is going to remain at the top of the offense, and Kings will have to put the right pieces around him somehow.
