New York Pelicans Receive: C Kristaps Porzingis
Dallas Mavericks Receive: G Eric Bledsoe, C Steven Adams, 2022 first-round pick (via LAL)
Fans of the Mavericks would likely be disappointed in the return that Dallas would receive from New Orleans.
Yes, the Mavericks would want either Brandon Ingram or Lonzo Ball (in a sign-and-trade) for Porzingis, but Porzingis’ trade value isn’t exactly booming right now. Given that, Dallas would address two of their needs in a trade with New Orleans.
The Mavericks would get Eric Bledsoe, giving them an experienced point guard that can orchestrate the offense alongside Doncic.
Even though Bledsoe’s numbers have declined in recent years, he’s still averaged 14.4 points, 4.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game on 33.7 percent shooting from deep in the past three seasons.

As for Steven Adams, he would give the Mavericks a brick wall at the center position. Adams can finally fill the need of a rim protector and the roll man in pick-and-roll situations with Doncic. Just to get the deal done, the Pelicans would send one of their future first-round picks as well.
Let’s take a look at how this NBA trade scenario centered around Kristaps Porzingis would impact both the Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans.
