Everyone and their relatives know that a trade involving Kristaps Porzingis is on the horizon this NBA offseason for the Dallas Mavericks.
Dallas was eliminated in the first year of the playoffs for the second straight year by the Los Angeles Clippers and Porzingis has failed to mesh well with superstar Luka Doncic.
With Doncic being the prized possession on the Mavericks, the front office needs to do whatever it takes to make sure that he’s in the best position to succeed.
There have been plenty of teams around the NBA mentioned in trade rumors as possible landing spots for Porzingis, including the New Orleans Pelicans.

While the Pelicans are a potential trade destination, the Mavericks likely wouldn’t be able to get any of the players they’d absolutely want from New Orleans, making a deal improbable.
