Denver Nuggets
The Denver Nuggets finished the season as the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. The loss of Jamal Murray to a torn ACL ultimately derailed their chances at winning an NBA title, but they are right on the cusp of being legitimate contenders.
The Nuggets need to add one more piece to the mix to get them over the top. Nikola Jokic is the reigning MVP and combined with Murray and Michael Porter Jr. were a great foundation. Adding Paul George would give them that boost to becoming legitimate contenders.
While all three aforementioned players are excellent on offense, they leave a lot to be desired defensively. George would become the team’s defensive ace, giving them two versatile, lockdown defenders in the Nuggets’ starting five alongside Aaron Gordon.
Unlike Gordon, George would also provide significant impact offensively as the second or third option for the Nuggets, depending on who was traded back to the Clippers.

The Nuggets may have to part with Porter Jr. in this scenario. While he has a bright future, the Nuggets are close enough to title contention it is a move they would have to seriously consider making.
