The LA Clippers fell short of their ultimate goal of winning the 2021 NBA Finals, but once Kawhi Leonard injured his knee, it was going to be a tough hill to climb. But, the team showed a lot of resiliency without him with Paul George playing a pivotal role.

Leonard was injured in the team’s Game 4 victory over the Utah Jazz in the second round. Heading to Utah for Game 5, no one gave the Clippers a chance to win, but they pulled off the big upset in Salt Lake City before returning home to finish them off in a comeback win in which they trailed by as many as 25-points in the second half.

Los Angeles would fall to the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Finals but still pushed them to six games. A big reason for the team surviving as long as they did was the play of Paul Geroge.

George has drawn the ire of social media for his playoff performances in the past, but this year he was carrying the Clippers for a majority of it. He played the most minutes of any player through the Conference Finals, and by a wide margin.

George played at least 35 minutes and scored at least 20 points in all 19 playoff games. He had a masterful 41-point performance in Game 5 against the Suns to extend the series, and 37 in Game 5 against the Jazz to swing the series.

The Fresno State product proved that he can get it done when the lights are brightest and help a team win in the postseason. If the Clippers decide to shake things up, plenty of teams would line up for him.

Here are five teams that could try to trade for Paul George this offseason.
