The Memphis Grizzlies are a team on the up and up in the Western Conference. They are a tough, hard-nosed group of young players that announced their presence during the 2020-21 season.
Memphis earned the No 8 seed in the Western Conference, defeating the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors in the NBA Play-In Tournament. This offseason, the Grizzlies have to augment their roster with veterans to help cement their status as a playoff team. Buddy Hield would help them do that.
The sharpshooter would bring a scoring punch to the Grizzlies that they are lacking. Memphis always seemed to work so hard for their points, especially during the postseason.
Hield would help open things up for Ja Morant to attack the basket with his 3-point shooting. Combined with Dillon Brooks, the Grizzlies would now have quite a dynamic scoring duo on the wings.
Hield hasn’t been a great defender during his career, but the Grizzlies have more than enough on that side of the ball to compensate for any shortcomings he may have.
