Myles Turner

Myles Turner is someone that has been linked to the Boston Celtics previously. The Pacers reportedly offered him to the team last year, along with a first-round pick and rotation player in exchange for Gordon Hayward.

The deal was rejected at the time, but had Brad Stevens been offered the same deal instead of Danny Ainge, the outcome may have been different.

Myles Turner is the kind of versatile big man that would have helped Boston out a lot. He is an excellent defender, especially in the paint, as he led the NBA with 3.4 blocks per game in 2020-21. It was the second time in the last three seasons that he led the league in blocks per game.

Offensively, Turner would have provided some floor spacing, as he is a 35.2 percent shooter from behind the 3-point line in his career. He would have provided a different dynamic to their offense in the frontcourt they lost when Al Horford left in free agency.
