Eric Gordon
When the rumors began coming out that the Indiana Pacers would exchange the 13th overall pick for a veteran that could help now, the Houston Rockets were mentioned as one potential partner. Indiana wants a player with at least two years remaining on their deal, and Eric Gordon would fit that bill.
Gordon has dealt with injuries in recent seasons, but when he is on the court, he can still produce. He averaged 17.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 27 games last season.
His 3-point range would help open up the Pacers’ offense and give them a bonafide scoring threat off the bench, something they would need should Doug McDermott sign elsewhere this offseason.
A trade to the Pacers would also be a homecoming for Gordon, who is an Indianapolis native and played collegiately at Indiana in Bloomington. A rebuilding team doesn’t have much use for a player that will be 33 in December and would welcome any assets they could acquire.

Gordon is one of the last holdovers from the Mike D’Antonio era, as James Harden and P.J. Tucker were both traded away during the 2020-21 season. It is only a matter of time until Gordon is traded away as well.
