Harrison Barnes

The Sacramento Kings look like they finally have things figured out in the backcourt with De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. All three are good players and present a strong core for the team to build around. The frontcourt is essentially the exact opposite.

Things have not worked out yet for Marvin Bagley III, whom the team selected No. 2 overall in 2018. Harrison Barnes has been the best frontcourt option for Sacramento in recent seasons, but he does not fit their timeline and flipping him for some assets would be a smart thing to do.

Barnes would be a great fit in Indiana, especially if they break up their jumbo frontcourt of Domantas Sabonis and Myles Turner. Barnes could slide right into that power forward spot seamlessly and improve the team on both ends of the court.

The former North Carolina Tar Heel is talented enough to punish opposing defenses when mismatches occur. His floor spacing would also be nice to have as the Pacers were middle of the pack and slightly below average on 3-point stats last season.

Defensively, Barnes can defend either forward spot and even play some center in small-ball lineups. Indiana needs help on that end of the court, so using the 13th pick to add a two-way player of that caliber would be a good upgrade for the roster.
