The Washington Wizards are coming to a crossroads this offseason. Bradley Beal has a player option for the 2022-23 season he is likely to decline for a long-term deal. If the Wizards can convince him to stay long-term, they can build up the roster around him and Russell Westbrook. If not, they will have to seriously consider trading him sooner than later.

If Washington is getting the impression that Bradley Beal does not want to stay with them beyond his current contract, trade talks will heat up.

The Wizards cannot afford to watch Beal leave in free agency in 2022 without getting anything in return. The trade packages they would receive in exchange for him would give them the chance to build their foundation going forward.

The New York Knicks and Golden State Warriors would once again be players in the market for a Bradley Beal trade. The Denver Nuggets could also jump into the fray here with Michael Porter Jr. being the centerpiece of a deal.

Bradley Beal is one of the most dangerous scorers in the NBA and a more than capable playmaker, which is why so many teams would jump at the chance to trade for him. Whoever lands him would be putting themselves in a great position to rise in the contender ranks this season.
