The Brooklyn Nets had some unfortunate luck during the NBA postseason. Injuries hit the team hard and this ultimately led to them being eliminated in the second round by the Milwaukee Bucks. The Nets entered the postseason as the favorites to win the championship and that might be the case once again next season.

If healthy, it is hard to find a better trio than the one in Brooklyn. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving welcomed James Harden to town in a midseason trade from the Houston Rockets. They finished as the second seed in the Eastern Conference this season.

During their playoff run, both Irving and Harden missed time with injuries. Durant put up some big-time performances but could not lead the Nets to the conference finals by himself. As the offseason comes around, there could be some changes in Brooklyn to improve one part of the lineup.

The Indiana Pacers are in a far-different situation than the Nets. The Pacers finished outside of the playoff race in the East. They entered as postseason hopefuls but struggled with inconsistencies throughout the season.

Indiana sent Victor Oladipo to the Houston Rockets and acquired Caris LeVert in a separate deal. Moving forward, they could be interested in making some more big moves involving stars.

The Nets could be interested in a trade that would help improve their frontcourt. That is what would be happening here.
