If there is one team to keep an eye on in the NBA offseason, it is the Miami Heat. They are known to make some big moves in hopes of climbing up the standings and we could see that once again after an underwhelming season. The Minnesota Timberwolves could be intriguing trade partners here.

The Heat came into the regular season as one of the teams expected to be in contention for a championship. Early on, it was obvious that this was not going to happen. The Heat struggled with injuries and inconsistencies early on and they were unable to bounce back.

This led to them being the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference and being swept out of the first round by the Milwaukee Bucks. Pat Riley has a chance to make a big move this offseason and has been linked to many in recent months. Minnesota could be an intriguing trade partner.

The Timberwolves have been down for years. They have made the postseason just one time since hitching their wagon to Karl-Anthony Towns. He is signed long-term but at some point, the team has to start questioning whether it would be best to hit the hard reset button and rebuild around Edwards.
