Does this trade make sense for the Chicago Bulls?
The Chicago Bulls made it clear that they are interested in competing right away. They have been a rebuilding franchise with some solid names in the rotation but have been unable to take that next step. With Zach LaVine playing at such a high-level and the acquisition of Nikola Vucevic, now is the time to compete.
When Billy Donovan was brought in as head coach, the feel around the franchise changed and the front office showed this at the NBA trade deadline.
After rumors of being big-time sellers, the Bulls decided to go the other way and acquire one of the biggest names on the market. Vucevic solidifies the frontcourt and makes them rocksolid down low.
The Bulls have been linked to veteran names at point guard, such as Mike Conley and Kyle Lowry, and it seems as though they will be aggressive in pursuit. Rozier could be a name to watch as he adds offensive prowess to a lineup that already features LaVine.

The Eastern Conference is weak downlow and these are two teams looking to take that next step. Chicago would certainly do that with an impact player at the top of the office.
