Low-Risk, High Reward
Unless a team comes out of nowhere and offers Victor Oladipo a multi-year deal, he will likely have to settle for a one-year prove-it deal. That would represent some great value for a team like the Milwaukee Bucks, who are capped out and have very little wiggle room when it comes to signing free agents.
It was only three years ago that Oladipo was coming off of the best season in his career and first All-Star game appearance. He averaged 23.1 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game. The steals per game led the NBA.
He made the All-Star team again in 2019 before tearing his quadriceps again. Oladipo was battling back this season and looked to be returning to form early on with the Pacers, but suffered the same injury again after only four games with the Miami Heat.
Oladipo’s career path is beginning to look similar to DeMarcus Cousins, who was looked at as one of the best centers in the league before injuries derailed his career.

Cousins was a contributor for the LA Clippers this season, so hopefully, Oladipo can bounce back and help a team win some games as well.
