Charlotte Hornets
There is arguably not a team in the league that needs a center as badly as the Charlotte Hornets do this offseason.
Cody Zeller and Bismack Biyombo are both hitting free agency, leaving only Vernon Carey and Nick Richards on the center depth chart heading into the offseason. That is something the Hornets will address, and targeting Christian Wood would accomplish that.
The Hornets would be a diverse, explosive offensive team adding the versatile Wood to their starting five. Surrounding playmaking extraordinaire LaMelo Ball with as many shot makers as possible is a good strategy to help elevate this offense to the next level.
Charlotte has a lot of assets they could offer the Rockets as well. The No. 11 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft is a good starting point. They have all of their future first-round picks as well if they were to need to include more than one.

Offering either P.J. Washington or Miles Bridges along with a first-round pick works out salary-wise. If the Hornets wanted to further bolster its wing depth, they could also for Danuel House Jr. in the deal as well. Malik Monk would be an interesting sign-and-trade target for the Rockets should Charlotte be willing to let him walk.
Of the teams on this list, the Hornets has the best combination of draft capital and young players to offer Houston a package for Wood.
