Sacramento Kings

The Sacramento Kings need some frontcourt help. Their center position could be in dire straits, as Richaun Holmes, Hassan Whiteside and Damian Jones are all free agents this summer. If they strike out on bringing back Holmes and choose to not retain the others, Christian Wood presents a good replacement in the middle.

Wood would give the Kings’ frontcourt some much-needed firepower when it comes to scoring the ball. A majority of Sacramento’s production comes from its perimeter trio of De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. Acquiring Wood would help balance that out and give the team more than just Harrison Barnes as a scorer in the frontcourt.

The Kings could start talks off by offering Marvin Bagley III. He could use a change of scenery as things have not gone according to plan after Sacramento selected him with the No. 2 overall pick in 2018 ahead of Luka Doncic and Trae Young.

The rebuilding Rockets could try and develop Bagley, who has shown some flashes offensively but needs a lot of work defensively.
